Special report on the gathering organised in the Senate by the ‘Fundación Quién Sabe Dónde Global’ to mark Missing Persons Day, commemorated on 9 March. The event brings families of missing people together in the Upper House to remember those who are absent, make their demands heard and raise awareness of a problem that affects Spanish society as a whole, without distinction.

The programme delves into the ordeal of several families torn apart by the disappearance of their loved ones in mysterious circumstances and listens to their needs and demands as they face the search and their grief.

Around 50 people go missing in Spain every day, and the number rises each year. In many cases, all trace of them is lost despite the efforts of the State security forces, but they are never forgotten and their families never stop searching.
