Synopsis

Lola Índigo is one of today’s leading artists. Following the release of her album ‘El Dragón’, she enjoyed an incredible year of growth and success in Spain and internationally. But after that overwhelming success, she felt the need to disconnect from the world and return to Granada to reconnect with her roots. That is how her first (and, to date, only) EP, ‘GRX’, came into being.

This documentary follows Mimi closely through that personal and artistic process. After an intense year, Lola Índigo took refuge in a studio in Granada, a place where she could heal and forget Lola Índigo in order to rediscover Mimi, without filters, make-up or poses. ‘Lola Índigo: GRX’ brings us close to the artist and reveals the making of ‘GRX’, alongside La Zowi, La Plazuela, Maka, Dellafuente, Saiko and Pepe y Vizio.

In this project, directed by DelasChuches and Raúl Santos, Lola Índigo turns a small emotional crisis into a major creative opportunity. Along the way, she also pays tribute to her roots, her family, her homeland and a new generation of talented artists with whom she shares every song on her EP.

‘Lola Índigo: GRX’ is a documentary feature made in collaboration with Universal Music Spain (GTS Entertainment) and Dadá Films & Entertainment, with whom Movistar Plus+ produced ‘Raphaelismo’ and ‘Bisbal’, both acclaimed by critics and audiences. Movistar Plus+ thus continues its commitment to major non-fiction stories told from a different perspective.
