Synopsis

‘La Belleza del Mecanismo’ is a Renault documentary about the extraordinary project behind the creation of the “Colección Austral”.

International designer and model Laura Ponte was the central figure in this project. Drawing inspiration from a selection of different parts of the Austral engine (a connecting rod, a timing-chain link, a spring, a gear, a valve and a battery connection plate), she designed six unique pieces that became exclusive, sophisticated gold and silver jewellery. A one-of-a-kind, unrepeatable collection in which precision, technology and design come together.
